The Skunk2 Ultra 1 Camshaft (forged) for the K-Series motor. This is skunk2's newest and highest performing camshaft for the K-Series motors. The ULTRA series camshaft is manufactured with proprietary high-quality forged tool, steel cores. They are then CNC ground with patent pending unique lobe shapes, giving way to the Skunk2's best camshaft. Power is moved up the RPM range and power is focused on mid-range to top end.
Performance can reach upto 25HP+ on the stage 1 ultra, while producing great torque and engine response.
Meant for a mildly moded car with bolt-on's, high compression, road race or all the way to turbo.
Skunk2 designs and tests all of their camshafts in-house using computer modeling and simulation equipment, skunk2 camshafts are meant to deliver maximum power across the entire powerband. Each camshaft is made from forged tool steel cores this increases torsional strength and improves durability characteristics while also reducing friction. All Skunk2 camshafts are ground to exact tolerances and specifications using state-of-the-art CNC cam grinding machines equipped with cubic-boron grinding wheels and feature hardened, wear-resistant lobes and surfaces.
Fast Ramp & Amax Technology:
Skunk2’s Ultra Series Camshafts also feature Fast Ramp and AMAX profile technology, which increases overall performance and results in unmatched response from idle to redline. AMAX technology simply maximizes the area under the lift curve but without compromising reliability or valvetrain stability. Skunk2’s profiles feature more duration than competitors’ at lifts above 1mm, resulting in greater efficiency and more power. And thanks to Fast Ramp, the same technology used in Formula One racing, seat timing is reduced, which results in additional cylinder pressure and more torque but without compromising valvetrain longevity.
